It was fun attending the first workshop of DomCon LA 2010. The event started a little late because Mistresses were greeting old friends and making new ones. It was like coming home again.
The first workshop focused on still photography and was led by Eric Charles. His advice with regard to positioning models and lighting was extremely useful. For demonstration purposes he used a slim, pretty model. He showed how to position a model’s torso and feet for best photographic advantage. Eric also described how to properly use both natural and artificial lighting for best effect.
The second industry worship centered on turning web sites profitable. Sienna Sinclaire, who owns several successful pay sites, was the presenter. She counseled the Mistresses on how to generate profits from their web sites by adding interactive features such as web cams, video clips and members-only areas.
But for Me the next workshop was the most useful. Mistress Precious and Her model, Genesis, gave a thorough demonstration of the techniques of bastinado, the BDSM art of punishing the soles of a submissive’s feet. Mistress Precious had Genesis lie face down on a bondage table, with an active vibrator jammed between her thighs in the genital area. Then Mistress Precious bound Genesis' feet to the table. Mistress Precious next used a variety of instruments to punish the soles of Genesis’ feet, including a small wooden paddle, a spiked roller (the kind used in a kitchen to chop herbs), a cane, a riding crop and a violet wand. Throughout the session, Genesis was genuinely screaming and begging for mercy.
From time to time, the Dominatrix applied cold water to Genesis’ feet, in order to instensify the pain.
Mistress Precious saved the best for last. She applied aromatherapy oil to Genesis’ feet, massaging them gently. Then She took a hair dryer and blew hot air on Genesis' soles, heating up the oil. Periodically, Mistress Precious would pause to apply ice, cooling down Genesis' feet, then resume tormenting her with the hair dryer. Afterwards, Mistress Precious warned that the oil-and-hair dryer combination shouldn't be used by amateurs, since a mistake could produce second-degree burns.
